Drug and Alcohol Rehab Covered by Multiplan

Finding the right healthcare coverage for substance abuse treatment can feel almost impossible, but it’s critical for those wanting to reclaim their lives from addiction. MultiPlan is one of the most widely accepted insurance providers with addiction coverage.

This guide will walk you through everything you need to know about addiction treatment under Multiplan, including the types of services covered, how to verify your coverage, and what steps to take as you begin your recovery journey. At Tennessee Detox Center, we’re happy to accept MultiPlan insurance coverage for drug and alcohol rehab. By accepting a variety of insurance providers, we strive to make quality addiction treatment in Tennessee accessible and affordable for all who need it.

What Is MultiPlan?

Multiplan is not an insurance company but a network that contracts with insurance providers to broaden access to care. It offers customers discounted rates and flexibility for a wide range of healthcare services. Multiplan works with many rehab centers across the country, and Tennessee Detox Center is one such facility that proudly accepts Multiplan coverage.

With Multiplan’s extensive network, individuals struggling with addiction can find affordable, quality care without the fear of exorbitant costs standing in the way of treatment. Today, MultiPlan is now known as Claritev. They have partnered with a number of providers and health centers, including:

  • 5,600 hospitals
  • 164,000 ancillaries
  • 1,400,000 providers and facilities

If you have a PPO insurance plan, we at Tennessee Detox Center will work with the providers of the MultiPlan network to provide you with the best possible treatment plan. Our goal is to help you get access to addiction treatment in Tennessee without the high costs.

MultiPlan and PPO Vs. HMO

If you have a PPO, or Preferred Provider Organization, insurance plan, you have the flexibility to choose your healthcare providers. This means that you can seek treatment from any medical facility or provider within your network without a referral from your primary care physician. MultiPlan is one of the largest networks available for PPO plans and includes a wide range of health centers and providers.

However, if you have an HMO, or Health Maintenance Organization, insurance plan, you must use healthcare providers within your network and may need a referral from your primary care physician to receive treatment from a specialist. While HMO plans may have lower premiums, they also offer less flexibility in terms of choice of providers.

When it comes to seeking addiction treatment with PPO vs. HMO insurance plans, there are some key differences to consider. With a PPO plan, you have the freedom to choose from a larger pool of drug rehab centers, like Tennessee Detox Center, and providers without requiring a referral.

Tennessee Detox Center accepts both PPO and HMO plans from insurance providers with addiction coverage. Check with your provider to better understand your PPO or HMO plan, and for questions about coverage for in or out-of-network addiction treatment.

How to Know If You Have Access to Insurance Providers with Addiction Coverage Through MultiPlan

So, how do you know if your PPO includes MultiPlan insurance coverage for drug and alcohol rehab? Your member ID card will show the network name and logo for MultiPlan or one of its subsidiaries, such as:

  • PHCS (Private Healthcare Systems)
  • HealthEOS
  • ValuePoint
  • Beech Street AK, NV and/or UT
  • Beech Street All Other States
  • AMN, RAN, and/or HMN
  • First Choice Health Network

If you’re unsure about your coverage, the best thing to do is call the customer service number on the back of your insurance card. The representative can help you understand your benefits and coverage for addiction treatment through MultiPlan.

Keep in mind that even if your PPO does not include MultiPlan or a subsidiary, it may still offer out-of-network benefits or have partnerships with other networks that cover addiction treatment. It’s important to always check with your provider to fully understand your coverage options.

The Importance of Addiction Treatment

Addiction is a complex disease that affects both the mind and body. Most people believe that quitting drugs or alcohol is as easy as making a conscious decision to stop. However, addiction is much more than just a bad habit that can be broken with willpower alone.

Addiction changes the way the brain functions, making it extremely difficult for someone to quit without proper treatment. It’s characterized as a chronic and relapsing disorder. This means that people will need continuous care to prevent relapsing and long-term effects of addiction.

Without proper care, addiction can lead to long-term physical health issues, relational breakdowns, and a significant decrease in the quality of life. Treatment is not a luxury; it’s a life-saving necessity.

Unfortunately, financial barriers often prevent people from seeking help. That’s why coverage under MultiPlan’s network of providers is so valuable. By working with Tennessee Detox Center’s team, you can explore your coverage options and access the help you need.

Does Multiplan Cover Drug and Alcohol Rehab?

Yes, we accept MultiPlan insurance coverage for drug and alcohol rehab. However, the level of coverage depends on the specific plan provided by your insurer. Some PPO plans may cover the full cost of treatment, while others may require you to pay a portion through co-pays and deductibles. Understanding the details of your plan can help you maximize your benefits.

At Tennessee Detox Center, we can help you determine how much of your treatment is covered and assist you in navigating the process. We know that MultiPlan can be a bit confusing to understand. However, we know that it’s a valuable resource to provide our clients with providers and treatment options that are covered under their insurance plans.

Rehab Services Covered Under Multiplan at TN Detox Center

Tennessee Detox Center offers a variety of addiction treatment programs, many of which are led by MultiPlan’s extensive PPO network of providers. If your insurance plan is partnered with MultiPlan insurance coverage for drug and alcohol rehab, here are some of the treatments they may cover.

Medical Detox

The first step in recovery is often detox. MultiPlan’s PPO partners may cover this medically supervised process to rid the body of addictive substances safely. At TN Detox Center, we provide comprehensive medical detox to help you in the initial stage of recovery.

Our Nashville medical drug and alcohol detox program provides several benefits. These include:

  • 24/7 medical supervision and support to ensure your safety during the detox process.
  • Individualized treatment plans that address your specific needs and substance abuse history.
  • Comfortable accommodations to help you feel at ease as you go through detox.
  • Nutritious meals and healthy activities to nourish your body and promote overall wellness.

Inpatient Treatment

After completing detox, inpatient treatment may be recommended for those with more severe addiction issues. Your insurance may cover this type of treatment, which involves staying at our facility for a designated period of time. Usually, our clients can stay from anywhere between 30 to 60 days or longer.

Being in a secure and structured luxury inpatient rehab offers our clients the best possible environment for recovery. Here, you will be surrounded by trained professionals and a supportive community of peers who are also on their path to sobriety. Inpatient treatment allows for 24/7 supervision and access to medical care if needed.

Our inpatient treatment program includes various therapies such as:

  • Individual counseling
  • Group therapy
  • Family therapy
  • Holistic activities like yoga and meditation

Our goal is to provide our clients with the necessary tools and skills to maintain long-term sobriety after completing the program. That’s why inpatient rehab plays such a pivotal role in recovery, and why we encourage you to explore insurance providers with addiction coverage.

Outpatient Treatment

Designed for those seeking flexibility, outpatient programs at Tennessee Detox Center allow clients to participate in therapy while maintaining daily responsibilities. Outpatient treatment can be a great tool to maintain your sobriety after inpatient treatment. You can still get access to treatments including:

  • Holistic care
  • Group therapy
  • Individual therapy
  • Family therapy
  • Support groups

It’s important to note that outpatient treatment might not be the best fit for everyone, as it requires a strong level of commitment and accountability from the individual. That’s why we at Tennessee Detox Center provide other outpatient treatment levels, including:

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP): PHP offers intensive care throughout the day while allowing patients to return home in the evenings. This is a step down from inpatient treatment, and is usually a great option for people who still need structure and want to spend the majority of their day in addiction treatment.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP): IOP is a step down from PHP and offers less hours of therapy per day. This level of care is typically recommended for those who have completed inpatient or PHP treatment, but still need support while transitioning back into their daily lives. It provides more hours of treatment than regular outpatient treatment.

Family Therapy

Addiction doesn’t just impact the individual; it affects families too. MultiPlan insurance plans can help cover family therapy sessions designed to rebuild broken relationships and provide support.

At Tennessee Detox Center, we recognize the importance of family support in the recovery process. Our experienced therapists work with families to address issues that may have contributed to the addiction, such as communication problems or unresolved conflicts.

In addition, our family therapy sessions provide education about substance abuse disorders and how they impact the individual and their loved ones. This knowledge can help families better understand what their family member is going through and how they can be a part of their recovery journey.

Dual Diagnosis Treatment

MultiPlan PPO networks often cover care for co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders. Dual diagnosis treatment addresses both issues simultaneously, which is critical for long-term recovery. Tennessee Detox Center’s dual diagnosis treatment prioritizes getting to the root causes of both conditions—such as trauma, anxiety, depression, or bipolar disorder—while also treating the substance use disorder. This integrated approach enhances the effectiveness of therapy, reduces the risk of relapse, and empowers clients to build a stable, balanced life in recovery.

Steps to Take When Seeking Rehab Treatment with Multiplan

To make the process of signing up for rehab treatment with MultiPlan easier, it’s important to follow a few steps beforehand. Here are some simple things to consider to make your enrollment into addiction treatment faster and simpler.

Understand Your Plan

Review the specifics of your insurance plan, including covered services, co-pays, deductibles, and out-of-pocket maximums. While MultiPlan can give you information on available providers, these other factors will play a big role in determining how much your overall out-of-pocket cost for rehab will be.

  • Deductibles: Check to see if you have a deductible that must be met before insurance will cover any of your addiction treatment costs. If so, make sure you understand the amount and when it needs to be paid.

  • Co-pays: Find out what your co-payments will be for each visit or service. This is usually a set dollar amount or a percentage of the total cost.

  • Out-of-pocket maximums: Be aware of what your out-of-pocket maximum is for in-network providers. Once this limit is reached, your insurance should cover 100% of additional costs.

  • In-network vs Out-of-network: Make sure you understand the difference between in-network and out-of-network providers. In-network providers are

Choose a Facility

Select a facility like Tennessee Detox Center that accepts MultiPlan providers and PPO coverage. Make sure that your preferred addiction treatment center provides the appropriate level of care you need. For instance, if you need medical detox or outpatient treatment, like those offered at Tennessee Detox Center, make sure your facility has a highly-rated program.

Verify Coverage

You can either check with your insurance plan or the facility to see if they can accept your insurance plan. Most insurance providers with addiction coverage, like MultiPlan’s providers, will have an online directory that lists your preferred facility.

Seek Pre-Authorization

Some insurance plans require pre-authorization for certain treatments. The team at Tennessee Detox Center can help handle these requests. We recommend speaking to your provider first to see if this is required. Your primary care physician may also be able to assist with this process by giving you a referral for addiction treatment.

Prepare Financially

Understand any out-of-pocket expenses and create a financial plan to cover them. Discounts or payment plans may be available. Grants, loans, or other forms of financial aid may also be an option. Speak to the treatment center’s financial counselor or admissions team for more information.

Begin Treatment

Once everything is set, it’s time to focus on your recovery. The beauty of having access to MultiPlan insurance coverage for drug and alcohol rehab is that you can choose from a wide range of treatment options. This includes inpatient and outpatient programs, detox services, therapy sessions, group support, holistic treatments, and more. After you’re approved to attend your facility, review their rules, expectations, and policies so you are prepared for your stay.

But it's the people who make this place truly special. The staff, they've been there, they understand the struggle. No judgment, just support, encouragement, and a genuine desire to help you heal. They treated me like an old friend, even though I was just visiting for my buddy.
They've got a whole range of therapies to help you on your journey – individual counseling, group sessions, and even a fitness center to get you moving again. It's not just about detox. It's about rebuilding your life from the ground up.
My friend, the owner, he's living proof that this place works. He poured his heart into creating a haven for those seeking recovery, and his passion shines through in every detail.
So, if you're ready to take that first step, this is the place. Trust me, they'll walk beside you every step of the way.

Tennessee Detox Center is the place to go if you are looking for a detox facility. The staff is great, you can tell that they care for the clients as individuals, and make an effort to get to know people when they walk through the door. They have top tier amenities that help make the clients comfortable for the duration of their stay. I would gladly send any of my loved ones here when they are ready to make a change.
